Access Statement for Accommodation

The Family apartment is on the first floor of our building; the studios are on the lower level.  We have tried to provide as much information as possible in this statement but if you have any queries please do call. We look forward to welcoming you at Derwent Water Marina.

  • The nearest bus stop is 150metres from the entrance.
  • The local bus service is provided by Stagecoach with services available between Penrith and Keswick and Keswick and Portinscale.
  • The nearest Mainline train station is 19 miles away in Penrith; there are accessible taxis at the station and also from Keswick Bus Station.

Arrival , Car Parking Facilities and entry

You can park outside the door of the upstairs (no.4) apartment; the parking area is levelled flat and even. There is a single step into the front door (2ft 7in wide) all floors are either smooth pile carpet or laminate.

There is a car park alongside the studio apartments (nos.1-3) from which there is 1 step into the apartments, which is 7inches from tarmac to patio.

Family Apartment (No 4)


  • Double Bedroom – Door width 2ft 7in, Double bed – 5foot Bed height 48 cm floor to top
  • Twin Bedrooms – Door width 2ft 7in, Single bed – 3 foot, Bed height approximately 50 cm floor to top
  • All the beds can be moved if needed to create extra space.

Bathroom & shower room

  • Bathroom – Door width 2ft 7in, Floor is tiled and flat, Corner bath, with sink and toilet of standard height.
  • Shower room – Door width 2ft 7in, Floor is tiled and flat, Double shower cubicle with small step in, sink and toilet are standard height.

Lounge & Dinning room

  • Door width 2ft 7in, the flooring is wood with a large rug, all furniture is moveable.


  • Door width 2ft 7in, flooring is tiled, work surfaces of standard height, Table and chairs are moveable.

Studios 1, 2 & 3

  • Our three studios have a ramp from the patio to the door, the door is 2ft 7in wide.
  • Each studio consists of an open plan living, sleeping and kitchen area with tiled floors.  The floors are reasonable smooth with a large rug.
  • The shower room doorway is 2ft 7in wide.
  • All furniture is moveable.

Additional Information

  • Good mobile phone reception.
  • The client is responsible for fire evacuation; there are emergency contact numbers for the owner and staff on the office door.
  • All apartments and enclosed public areas on site are non-smoking.
  • A dog/service dog is welcome please advise us on booking.
